I've seen more Australian animals in the past two weeks than I saw in an entire 5 years of my previous Australian experience. I've started a list.
I got a couple of good shots of kookaburras but later this afternoon saw many more in the wild. They seem to be much more prolific here than they were up north.
Early this morning Tina joined Kate and Rob in an early morning dog walk and swim at a nearby beach while I stayed in bed. They returned just as I was finishing coffee #1 around 8 AM.
After breakfast Kate, Tina and I went to the Nowra Wildlife Park, otherwise known as the Shoalhaven Zoo to feed the kangaroos, wallabies and emus.
Our visit lingered MUCH longer than planned as the park is a huge area with an amazing variety of animals from all over the world. We fed the kangaroos but those emus are mean and nasty, so no feed for them - at least from us!!

We enjoyed the wombats, possums, snakes, wombats, all kinds of reptiles and many varieties of cockatoos, parrots and lorikeets - many of these birds we have seen, and heard, in the wild but have been unable photograph.

We arrived back home hot, hungry and tired so it was decided that we'd have a late lunch and lazy afternoon at home. Nice! Tomorrow can be a beach day. Late afternoon Kate and Tina went out to a dog agility training session with Zebiya (I really like her name - a Persian word that means 'beautiful') and Rob and I went for a walk with the boxer, Tyson, on a trail through the forest. It was getting pretty dark by the time we finished our walk.
Back home, we enjoyed a delicious barbeque and card games to end the day.
