Coffs Harbour's beautiful beaches make it a tourist destination but we've been told that it's also famous for its Big Banana! Unfortunately for us, we were denied the opportunity to see this Coffs icon:( Kathy absolutely refused to share what she considered to be this huge embarrassment to the area and we didn't bother making an effort to visit the sight after parting ways with her. I decided that seeing it on the web will have to do.

We had a lazy lie-in this morning - a special treat - before heading up the street for a late breakfast and then a taxi to the train station. Our rail destination today - Sydney Central Railway Station - not far from where I lived in Surrey in 1972 when I walked daily to Sydney Central to catch a train to work in the western suburbs. Our train journey today aboard the Country Link Express was very comfortable, relaxing, scenic and the food and wine quite good.
We arrived in Sydney after 9 pm and there to meet us were Tina's son, Rob, and his lovely wife Kate. We hopped into the car and headed south passing Wollongong and onto the Princes Highway to their home in Bomaderry, arriving just before midnight.
And.....it is cold here!!
